4 August 2020:

CLUB MEMBER INFORMATION

Hi to all our club members. Here is an update on what is happening after our committee meeting was held on 26th July 2020.

As at 24/7/20 the Glandore Community Centre and the CCC Clubrooms are still on Stage 2 Covid19 Plan, which means the clubrooms can hold 19 people standing or 10 people sitting. No access to kitchen, library, toilets or small meeting room. Cynthia Davey from the CCC has advised they will keep us informed of any changes when these occur.

Regarding our AGM, 40th Anniversary Display Day and Presentation lunch we have put a plan in motion that can see us celebrate these events at one event. Norma Schopp approached the committee to have our AGM at the Balaklava Museum after reading our Jul/Aug newsletter. I took this idea to the committee meeting and the committee decided why not incorporate all our events together on one day. The date has been confirmed as the 15/11/20. A BBQ lunch will be provided by the museum, which will be paid for by the Chrysler Restorers Club. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available to purchase. Due to Covid19 restrictions - salads and any other food will be BYO. More information on this event will be provided in our next magazine Sept/Oct 2020.

To all members a big thank you, our membership and log book renewal for 2020 has been completed. A great effort by everyone involved especially Chris Bennett and Sharon Gibb who did a considerable amount of work to make this a successful result.

For our Sept/Oct magazine Richard is looking to all members to help put this magazine together. I am sure there are some interesting restorations going on and some funny stories on life in lockdown, please share these with Richard.

Keep an eye out for postings on our Facebook page and website as Brenton Gibb will post details of possible runs, weather permitting at a few days notice.

Also Bob Haywood will have some news on our 2021 calendar in our next magazine. Also included in our next magazine will be an updated nomination form for Club Member of the Year. This will have information included for numbers attending our Club Event on the 15/11/20 so we can finalise numbers for the BBQ as well as Club Member trophy.

Please everyone keep safe and look after each other and hopefully we will be able to see each other on a run in the not too distant future. Please circle the 15/11/20 on your diary, it should be a blockbuster.

Regards
Greg Lind
President
